IBM Consulting delivers mainframe assessment, application modernization and migration services. Its mainframe services page includes both on-platform modernization and migration to cloud or distributed environments. The BCC Iccrea case study describes Consulting and Technology Expert Labs designing integration between IBM Z core banking applications and external REST APIs. This supplier-published case supports an API integration role, rather than a mainframe exit.

Outside the mainframe, IBM Consulting's documented work includes SAP S/4HANA conversion (Rapid Move and RISE with SAP delivery, with Cognitus added in late 2025), data transformation within its data and AI practice, and container and DevSecOps services through BoxBoat. IBM sells API management, event streaming and master data management as software products; IBM Consulting's own service pages do not describe delivery engagements built on them.
