SAP Migration Cockpit

SAP Migration Cockpit is the data-transfer tool bundled with S/4HANA that maps legacy records onto predefined migration objects and stages them for load, covering master and transactional data but not custom ABAP remediation. SAP shipped it with the S/4HANA 1610 on-premise release in late 2016 as a successor to the older LSMW/LTMC tools, and it now supports both direct transfer from a defined list of SAP source systems and staging-table loads from non-SAP systems. It ships as part of the S/4HANA license with no separate SKU, and its scope is limited to structured data movement — process redesign and custom-code conversion remain separate workstreams.
