ScienceSoft

ScienceSoft USA Corporation, founded in 1989 and based in McKinney, Texas, describes itself as an AI transformation and software development company specializing in healthcare, insurance and investment. Its application modernization page lists assessment, automated application conversion and database migration with partner Ispirer Systems, and cloud migration by rehosting, replatforming or cloud-native rebuild.

For legacy application evaluation, ScienceSoft's supply-chain SaaS case study describes developers augmenting a client team, replacing selected module front ends while temporarily retaining the old back end, and assisting with .NET and Azure microservices. The client is unnamed; this supplier account does not independently confirm the results. It does not substantiate a PHP-to-Laravel specialization.

Backstage

Backstage is an open-source framework for building internal developer portals around a centralized software catalog, with a plugin architecture for surfacing service ownership, documentation, and CI/CD status in one place. Spotify built it internally, open-sourced it in March 2020, and donated it to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, which accepted it that September and moved it to Incubating maturity in 2022; the project is now steered by a community of contributing companies rather than by Spotify alone. Commercial distributions built on the open-source core exist, including Spotify's own hosted "Portal for Backstage" product and third-party offerings such as Roadie. Running the open-source version still requires a team to build and host its own plugins and catalog data pipeline; it is not a turnkey SaaS by default.
