Heirloom Computing

Heirloom Computing is a software vendor with offices in Alamo, California and Dublin, Ireland, that sells a compiler-based product suite converting IBM mainframe applications to Java. Its site says Java output can be deployed on-premises, on AWS or other clouds, or on IBM Z, and that its Heirloom/X step uses generative AI to rewrite converted code into idiomatic Java. Its customer references include Venerable, which moved a CICS COBOL application to AWS (reported in a 2021 AWS partner blog co-authored by Heirloom's CEO), and Riocard IT, which moved to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Cost, speed and ROI figures on the site are Heirloom's own claims.
