OpenRewrite automates selected code changes through recipes. Its Java 8-to-17 guide documents API, dependency and build changes, alongside uncovered deprecations and build plugins that need manual updates. This is technical capability evidence, not proof of a completed customer migration. The guide describes the migration recipe module as source-available: compiled binaries are available to Moderne customers, while non-commercial users can compile it locally.
