Is Delphi Still Supported? End-of-Life Dates (2026)

Short answer

Delphi is supported and new versions continue to ship.

Embarcadero patches only the current Delphi release: Delphi 13 Florence is under Active Support, while Delphi 12 Athens moved to Passive Support, with no new fixes, in September 2025 and Delphi 11 Alexandria has been de-supported.

If you still run Delphi

Embarcadero patches only the current release, so the date that matters is when your release lost Active Support. Delphi 12 Athens lost it in September 2025, Delphi 11 Alexandria in November 2023, and Delphi 10.4 Sydney in September 2021. Applications built with older versions keep running; what ends is Embarcadero's fixes for the compiler and libraries.

The realistic options:

  • Upgrade to the current release. This restores patches and keeps the codebase in Delphi. Embarcadero sells upgrades; check your Update Subscription status and licence terms for the price. Third-party components often need a matching update, so list them before you commit.
  • Stay on the old version. This is a legitimate choice when the application is stable and isolated, but any compiler or library bug stays unfixed and you test each new Windows release yourself.
  • Migrate. The Delphi to C# guide covers scope, cost ranges and risks.

Legacy system modernization companies lists suppliers for Delphi migrations, and modernization costs gives budget ranges for comparison with an upgrade.

Frequently asked questions

Is Delphi still supported?

Yes. Embarcadero's Supported Versions list shows Delphi 13 Florence as Active from September 2025. Older versions are supported less fully, as described below.

Which Delphi versions are still supported?

Per the same list, only Delphi 13 Florence is under Active Support, which includes hotfixes, patches and service packs. Delphi 12 Athens is in Passive Support since September 2025: Embarcadero opens support cases but issues no fixes. Delphi 11 Alexandria and earlier are no longer in Active Support, and Delphi 11 was de-supported in September 2025.

When does Delphi 7 reach end of support?

Delphi 7 moved to Passive Support in December 2005 and was de-supported in December 2008, according to Embarcadero's list. Applications built with it still run, but Embarcadero provides no support for the tool.

Can I get extended support for Delphi?

Embarcadero's lifecycle definitions allow an Extended Support period of up to two years after de-support, at its discretion and not for every product. Its supported-versions list shows none for Delphi, so a team on an old release has to upgrade.
