Best For:
Companies heavily dependent on Redis Stack modules (RediSearch, RedisJSON, RedisGraph) who cannot migrate to alternatives and are willing to pay for commercial licensing.
Alternative To Valkey:
For companies where Redis Stack modules are mission-critical and Valkey alternatives (ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL JSONB, Neo4j) require too much reengineering. Trade licensing costs for avoiding migration complexity.
Red Flags:
Licensing restrictions (RSALv2/SSPL) may violate if you offer Redis as managed service. High annual costs. Consider if Valkey equivalents will emerge (roadmap includes search, JSON modules).
